Francisca Pascual

Francisca C. “Iska” Pascual, 66, of Greenwater, formerly of the Philippines, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2019. She was born Dec. 29, 1952, in the Philippines the daughter of Comiles and Romana (Ameda) Carlos. On May 29, 1972, she married Silvestre Pascual, Sr. Francisca Pascual, known as "Iska" to all her friends and relatives, France to her coworkers, mama to her kids and apo, but most of all, a God-loving servant who has taught her kids the importance of always seeking God's kingdom and glory. Iska is a devout Catholic serving others through her selfless compassion. She has been steadfast in her love for one man only, and losing him early in their marriage life has not changed an iota of her love. She has sacrificed all her life for the betterment of her kids, ever hoping they would do well in life. She has been like a mother to the neighborhood kids... even till they have all grown up. Her mere presence, kind words, or helpful gesture uplifts them all. Her house in Greenwater has become a beacon to all friends and relatives, where everyone is welcome and will always feel at home. She brightens up a room with her smile and friendly conversations. She’s loving and caring to her family and relatives, loyal to her friends and thoughtful to others. A good listener and adviser, she’d more often keep her problems to herself and rather worry about the sake of others. She loved to jog when she was able, then resorted to taking long walks after health issues prevented her from doing so. Travelling was one of her favorite things to do, esp. going back to the Philippines after she migrated to the States 12 years ago. She liked hanging out with her friends, watching her favorite TV series, and keeping contact with friends and relatives through social media. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with in her own simple ways. She will be missed dearly by all her family, friends and relatives. Surviving are her siblings, Perfecta C. Yagyagon, Felix A. Carlos, Marcos A. Carlos, Pedro A. Carlos; her children, Leah P. Pataras, Marilou P. Ubaldo, Cashmere P. Felix, Sylvia C. Pascual, Silvestre C. Pascual Jr., Angelica C. Pascual; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Silvestre Pascual Sr. Visitation will be Sunday, October 27 from 2 to 5 pm at Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire. Burial will be at a later date in the Philippines.
