Beverly June Conro Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Beverly J. Conro (Ewert), 91, of Hampshire passed away on June 8, 2022. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She was born on June 20, 1930, in Huntley, IL the daughter of Mary Ewert. She was married to Darwin Conro on November 24, 1949. She was a stay-at-home mom to 9 children and resided in Hampshire until 2019. She was a long-time member of the St. Charles Borromeo Church in Hampshire and was an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She also volunteered for Hampshire Township to drive seniors to medical appointments. Although shy and unassuming, she exerted more influence over her family and friends than she could have ever imagined or admitted. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, flea markets, garage sales, playing cards and other games, as well as crafting. She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Darwin; her mother, Mary Ewert, sister Nancy Ewert, her daughter Darlene (Steve) Allen, granddaughter, Danielle Dyer, Son-in-law Ronald Coffman. She leaves behind her children, Sue Miller, Linda (Gary) Lewis, Pamela Coffman, Douglas Conro, Karen (Jeff) Sikula, Sharon (Jerry) Newman, Janine (Don) Barnett and Jennifer (Andrew) Georgiou; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in her name. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon on Tuesday June 14, 2022, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 284 E. Jefferson Ave., Hampshire, IL. Burial will follow at the St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to mass at the church from 10:30-11:45 AM. Social distancing and masks will be enforced.
