Linda Bahr Riley

August 19, 1953 - January 15, 2022

Linda Bahr Riley, 68, of Rensselaer, IN, passed away on January 15, 2022, at Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso, IN with her loving family by her side. Born and raised in Burlington, IL the daughter of David and Carol (Miller) Bahr on August 19, 1953. She raised her children to live life to the fullest, loving, and enjoying every minute of it, and taught by example. Linda worked multiple jobs, including ABF Freight for 28 years, and still attended every sporting event, never missing a game. She loved attending Celebrate Recovery at her church, TOPS, and traveling to visit her family. Linda was the kindest, most beautiful, and most positive soul around, never complaining, and always putting others' needs before her. Her thoughtful spirit, smile, and laugh reflected that. To know her was to love her. We are devastated to lose her so soon, but grateful to know she is in glory with our heavenly father. Left to cherish her memories is her partner of 12 years, Scott Hale; her children, Jason (Nickol) of Alta Loma, CA, Andrea Logan of Thousand Oaks, CA, Joshua (Korey) of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Ethan, Haydn, Ocean, Camden, Everson, and Parker; step-grandchildren, Logan, Makelle, Dylan, Sutton; her parents, David and Carol Bahr; brothers, Jim (Karen) Bahr of Centralia, and Jeff Bahr of Menomonee Falls, WI; and sister, Donna (Mike) Austin of Burlington, IL. Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Service at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 43W301 Plank Road, Hampshire. Reception to follow at the church. The service will be live-streamed on the Fredrick Funeral Home website and can be watched by clicking on Linda’s obituary, then photos and videos and then hitting the play button.
